Full course description
This course, presented in a “Train the Trainer” format, explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and sustainability, providing participants with a solid foundation in AI concepts and their application to the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainable development. Combining theoretical learning with hands-on practice, participants will examine AI’s potential to address global challenges, analyze real-world case studies, and navigate the ethical considerations of using AI in sustainability initiatives. Key topics include evaluating AI’s suitability across different sustainability contexts, understanding the societal and environmental impacts of AI projects, and applying ethical principles to AI development. Participants will sharpen critical thinking skills as they explore AI solutions and complementary technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT). The course culminates in a hands-on project, enabling participants to design and prototype ethical, AI-driven solutions aimed at promoting sustainability.
